On February 6th, at the South Pointe Resort in Phoenix, AZ, iotum™ launched its new offering, based on its Relevance Engine, before an audience of leading business, consumer and technology trade media, analysts and investors.
“iotum brings to DEMO 2006 something that is unique, needed and timely for everyone from individuals to executives,” said Chris Shipley, executive producer of DEMO 2006. “iotum’s offering is based upon its Relevance Engine and I’m confident it will be well-received by DEMO attendees.”
The annual DEMO conferences focus on emerging technologies and new products, which are hand-selected from across the spectrum of the technology marketplace. The DEMO conferences have earned their reputation for consistently identifying tomorrow’s cutting-edge technologies, and have served as launch pad events for companies such as Palm, E*Trade, Handspring and U.S. Robotics, helping them secure venture funding, establish critical business relationships and influence early adopters. Each DEMO conference features approximately 70 new companies, products, and technologies. For more information on the DEMO conferences, visit www.demo.com
iotum Pronto Conferencing Debuts
iotum is elated to debut iotum Pronto Conferencing at DEMO 2006 because it is the ideal event to showcase a new way to communicate more effectively.
iotum Pronto Conferencing eliminates the frustrating need for special phone numbers, PIN codes or access codes to participate in a conference call.
With iotum Pronto Conferencing, conference call participants dial the regular phone number of the iotum-enabled conference organizer and then are immediately placed into the conference bridge without any additional work or effort.
“There isn’t a person who attends DEMO who won’t immediately grasp the time saving and simplicity which iotum brings to the daily communications experience,” said Chris Shipley, executive producer of DEMO 2006. “Executives are bombarded with distractions. Given the number of conference calls they regularly have, these busy people will immediately see the value that iotum Pronto Conferencing brings to them.”
With iotum Pronto Conferencing, like the overall iotum platform itself, busy professionals are made more productive and responsive by connecting them with the right people at the right time – ensuring that inbound communications are relevant to the task at hand, and avoiding unnecessary interruptions by simplifying the way telephone calls are handled.
iotum Wins DEMO God Award
For Alec Saunders and Howard Thaw, Wednesday, February 8th, 2006 will be a date they will always remember. The duo walked out of the DEMO 2006 conference that night with one of ten coveted Demo God awards as the “best of the best,” beating out 56 other start-ups from around the globe and topping new offerings from established companies, that included AOL and Yahoo, to grab the brass ring.
“When we looked at the competition we were up against we knew that winning the award would be tough. We competed against some fantastic and very worthy companies,” said Alec Saunders. “Our co-workers, coaches, and advisors prepared us well. But even so, when Chris Shipley called our names as Demo God winners we were still awestruck. It was like winning an Oscar.”
